History

For more than 60 years, our owner-managed company has been representing innovative and high-quality system solutions made of sheet metal. Here is a selection of our historical milestones.

Heinrich Cremer

1957

Our company was founded by Heinrich Cremer on 4 March 1957 at Rheydt (Pongs). At that time, carding grid were among the primary products.

In the 60s

The telescopic covers product line was introduced in the sixties.

1970 / 1973

In 1970, we purchased a property on Einruhrstraße in Mönchengladbach, on which we built a new building. In 1973, we moved in.

1975

The 2nd generation enters the company. Son Klaus Hermann Cremer strengthens HCR.

Maschinenverkleidung / Einhausung

In the late 70s

Machine cladding is now part of the product range.

1986

The premises on Einruhrstraße are too small, so in 1986 we move to the new premises on Oppelner Straße in Mönchengladbach.

Reinhard Synofzik

1987

Technical director Reinhard Synofzik starts his career at HCR.

1988 / 1990

New construction of the third production hall

1991

Heinrich Cremer leaves the company after 34 years and hands over management to Klaus Cremer.

Fertigung in Pilsen

1994

We establish the subsidiary Cremer Bohemia s.r.o. (CB for short) in Pilsen, Czech Republic, for economic and high-quality prefabrication.

Übernahme Kerren Viersen

1995

In 1995, the takeover of the company Kerren takes place in Viersen.

Fliehkraftwischer Cleartec

1998

A new product complements our product portfolio in May 1998: Cleartec®.

Einblicke in Produktion

2000

In order to keep up with ever-increasing demand, a new production hall is built in 2000. It increases our production area to approximately 2,000 sqm.

2000

Due to changes in textile machines, the manufacturing of carding grids is no longer needed, resulting in HCR producing the last carding grids in 2000.

Christopher Cremer

2007

The 3rd generation enters the company. Son Christopher Cremer strengthens HCR.

Julian Cremer

2009

The 3rd generation is rounded off with the entry of Julian Cremer.

2017

Klaus Cremer and Dr Reinhard Synofzik hand over management of our company to Christopher and Julian Cremer.

With the HCR emergency station, a new product for production safety is integrated into our portfolio.
