For more than 60 years, our owner-managed company has been representing innovative and high-quality system solutions made of sheet metal. Here is a selection of our historical milestones.
Our company was founded by Heinrich Cremer on 4 March 1957 at Rheydt (Pongs). At that time, carding grid were among the primary products.
The telescopic covers product line was introduced in the sixties.
In 1970, we purchased a property on Einruhrstraße in Mönchengladbach, on which we built a new building. In 1973, we moved in.
The 2nd generation enters the company. Son Klaus Hermann Cremer strengthens HCR.
Machine cladding is now part of the product range.
The premises on Einruhrstraße are too small, so in 1986 we move to the new premises on Oppelner Straße in Mönchengladbach.
Technical director Reinhard Synofzik starts his career at HCR.
New construction of the third production hall
Heinrich Cremer leaves the company after 34 years and hands over management to Klaus Cremer.
We establish the subsidiary Cremer Bohemia s.r.o. (CB for short) in Pilsen, Czech Republic, for economic and high-quality prefabrication.
In 1995, the takeover of the company Kerren takes place in Viersen.
A new product complements our product portfolio in May 1998: Cleartec®.
In order to keep up with ever-increasing demand, a new production hall is built in 2000. It increases our production area to approximately 2,000 sqm.
Due to changes in textile machines, the manufacturing of carding grids is no longer needed, resulting in HCR producing the last carding grids in 2000.
The 3rd generation enters the company. Son Christopher Cremer strengthens HCR.
The 3rd generation is rounded off with the entry of Julian Cremer.
Klaus Cremer and Dr Reinhard Synofzik hand over management of our company to Christopher and Julian Cremer.
With the HCR emergency station, a new product for production safety is integrated into our portfolio.
